The Emergency Department at Kanakanak Hospital is a five-bed Critical Access emergency room open 24/7. It also runs a Sexual Assault Response Team (support and forensic exams) and starts the certified regional air ambulance (medevac) for critical transfers; escorts include RNs, EMTs and sometimes physicians.
