Weather, marine & sea-ice forecasts — NWS Fairbanks office (covers the North Slope)

The National Weather Service forecast office in Fairbanks (weather.gov/afg) issues all North Slope forecasts, blizzard and coastal-flood warnings, marine forecasts for the Chukchi and Beaufort, and the Alaska Sea Ice Program's ice analyses — there is no longer a staffed NWS forecast office in Utqiaġvik. Office phone 907-458-3700. Hunters and whalers also use the AAOKH ice observations and trail maps (arctic-aok.org) and KBRW's on-air weather.
