ICAS Hunter/Gatherer Program — traditional Native food for elders and members who cannot hunt

ICAS runs a Hunter/Gatherer program whose purpose is to provide traditional Native foods (niqipiaq — caribou, fish, maktak, birds) to tribal elders and tribal citizens who are unable to hunt or fish for themselves. To ask about receiving food or about hunting for the program, call ICAS at 907-852-4227 (toll-free 888-788-4227) and ask for the Hunter/Gatherer program, 6986 Ahmaogak St, Utqiaġvik. (The Native Village of Barrow Wildlife Program, 907-852-4411, runs a similar Young Hunters program and subsistence support for NVB members.)
