Kawerak Higher Education Scholarship (apply through MyCache)

Kawerak's Higher Education Scholarship Program gives semester scholarships to eligible tribal members of the Bering Strait/Norton Sound region who are accepted for enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university, full-time or part-time. Money is sent directly to the school. Apply each semester through the MyCache portal: the MyCache common application, the Kawerak Eligibility form, and uploaded documents (tribal enrollment verification, diploma or GED and transcripts, acceptance letter, two recommendation letters, current class schedule). The page lists deadlines of June 30 (fall), December 1 (spring) and May 15 (summer). Nome Eskimo Community tribal members are not eligible for Kawerak's scholarship and must apply at their local office.
