Alaska Division of Public Assistance — apply online or call (no full-service Nome office)
The State of Alaska's Division of Public Assistance (DPA) offers online services 24/7 through Alaska Connect (sign up or use your myAlaska account) and a Virtual Contact Center at 800-478-7778, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Virtual Contact Center can help with Emergency Medicaid, Quest cards and medical coupons, direct deposit, form requests, reporting changes or sending proof such as job or rent, and general questions and referrals to community resources. The page says the option to speak with staff after 3 p.m. may be limited by call volume. DPA's office list shows a Nome District Office at 214 E. Front Street (office hours 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) but says services there are limited to general inquiries at this time, so start online or by phone.
Who it’s for & requirements
The offices page lists where to apply and get help; it does not say who qualifies. Each DPA program sets its own rules, and DPA decides eligibility.
