High Surf Advisory issued October 6 at 3:32PM AKDT until October 10 at 4:00AM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks AK * WHAT...High surf expected. Water levels of 2 to 4 feet above the normal high tide line, peaking during high tide. * WHERE...Western Arctic Coast from Point Hope south. * WHEN...From 10 AM Thursday to 4 AM AKDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Localized beach erosion may occur. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A low in the Western Bering Sea will send a front moving east in the coast, resulting in south to southeast winds ramping up Thursday morning through Friday, before diminishing through Saturday. Sea levels will remain elevated through Friday before gradually subsiding Friday night into Saturday.
