NSBSD CTE Department Communication Update
Original post
The NSBSD CTE Department is reaching out to inform students and families of a change in how the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department and Qatqiññiaġvik Learning Center (QLC) will be sharing information regarding upcoming intensives, student applications, and program updates. Moving forward, we will be posting intensive announcements, application information, and updates directly on the Career and Technical Education and QLC page of the NSBSD district website. This will provide a centralized location where students, families, principals, and counselors can access the most current information regarding our programs. To access this information, please follow these steps: Visit the North Slope Borough School District website. Select Departments. Click on Career and Technical Education. Select Forms and Applications. Click on the available intensive application to view the current program for information, dates, and application details. The application link for our upcoming November Cultural Intensive, scheduled for November 16–20, 2026, has already been posted on the district website and is now available for students to access. As new intensives become available or updates are made, the information will be reflected on this page. I encourage you to check this page regularly and share the information with your students and families. Our goal is to streamline communication, improve accessibility, and ensure everyone has access to the same up-to-date information regarding CTE opportunities throughout the district. If you have any questions or need assistance accessing the applications or program information, please do not hesitate to contact Principal Ed Kelkis or Assistant Principal Tom Coxson. We are always happy to assist. Thank you for your continued partnership and support in helping us provide meaningful Career and Technical Education opportunities to students across the North Slope.
