The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta Regional Hospital Emergency Department entrance will be closed to all traffic for maintenance beginning Saturday, September 19 until October 20, 2026. All emergency traffic will be directed to the hospital's main entrance, which will remain open 24/7 for the duration of the four-week ED entrance shutdown. The Bethel Police & Fire Departments, along with all cab companies and the YKHC shuttle service have been notified about the ED entrance closure and have been directed to use the hospital's main entrance during this closure. Temporary barriers will be placed in the road to discourage traffic to the ED entrance and additional signage will be added in the hospital directing patients to the Emergency Department. The barriers will not impede traffic in the event of an emergency evacuation of the building. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation while we make necessary improvements to the hospital.
