NVOK Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) Program

The Native Village of Kotzebue's Tribal Family Services Department represents the Tribe in Children in Need of Aid (child welfare) cases involving tribal members and ensures the Indian Child Welfare Act is followed by state agencies. It provides advocacy, case management, and coordination with tribal, state, and community partners to keep Native children connected to family, culture, and community. Call the Tribal Family Services office or the main tribal line. A Family's Guide to ICWA is available as a PDF.
