Northwest Arctic Heritage Center (National Park Service)

The Northwest Arctic Heritage Center is the NPS visitor center in Kotzebue for Kobuk Valley National Park, Noatak National Preserve, and Cape Krusenstern National Monument. It has a free museum on Arctic wildlife, geology, and Iñupiaq culture/subsistence, trip-planning help for backcountry camping and floating trips, bear-resistant food container loans, free WiFi, and National Park Passport stamps. Summer hours (Apr 1-Sep 30) are Mon-Fri 9am-5pm; winter hours (Oct 1-Mar 31) are Mon-Fri 10am-4:30pm. Closed weekends and federal holidays.
