Free healthy food benefits, nutrition counseling and breastfeeding support for pregnant/postpartum women and children under 5 in low-income households (Medicaid/SNAP families usually qualify). The State WIC page lists Southeast Alaska (including Ketchikan) as served remotely by Midnight Sun WIC: call 907-500-8451 (Mon-Fri 10am-3pm) or email doh.wic.services@alaska.gov to apply; appointments can be done by phone. Local WIC services have been offered at the Public Health Center, 605 Gateway Court - ask when you call.
