HUD-VASH rental assistance for tribal veterans (THRHA)

THRHA runs the HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing program: rental vouchers for tribal veterans in Southeast Alaska who are homeless or at risk. You must be a tribal veteran living in a Southeast Alaska community, show tribal enrollment and a DD214, be eligible for VA healthcare, and earn 80% or less of median income. To start, call the National Call Center for Homeless Veterans at 877-424-3838 for screening; eligible applicants are referred to THRHA for a voucher usable in private or tribal housing.
