KGBSD Cultural Coordinator / Ketchikan Native Education Parent Committee (Title VI)

The district's Cultural Coordinator, created with the Ketchikan Native Education Parent Committee (Title VI Indian Education) and in consultation with Saxman and KIC, brings cedar weaving, drum making, formline design, storytelling, carving and Tlingit/Haida/Tsimshian language exposure into KGBSD classrooms and supports Native students. Families of Alaska Native/American Indian students should ask their school for the Title VI (ED 506) form so their child is counted for the program.
