Borough Public Works - water/sewer hookup permit (service areas)

Outside city limits, Borough water and sewer connections (North Tongass, South Tongass, Mud Bight and other service areas) require a Utility Hookup Permit from Borough Public Works before any work starts: pay the hookup fee, submit a site plan, then call 907-228-6670 or 907-254-6800 to schedule the inspection at least 24 hours ahead - lines buried before inspection must be re-dug and can be fined up to $500/day. Public Works also handles Borough roads, landfill and the transfer station. Pick up the permit at the Public Works office (1900 First Ave).
