Borough Planning & Community Development - zoning permits, plats, signs, floodplain
Before building anywhere in the Borough (including inside the City) check zoning with the Planning Department: new structures or additions need a Zoning Permit; conditional uses, variances, rezones and subdivisions/plats go to the Planning Commission (meets monthly, public hearing); building in a mapped flood zone needs a Floodplain Development Permit; permanent signs need a sign permit. Every application needs the Owner Authorization Signature Page. Call 907-228-6610 or email planning@kgbak.us to ask which approval you need; incomplete applications are delayed. State driveway permits (DOT) are applied for online.
