Ketchikan Gateway Borough Election - October 6, 2026 (Assembly & School Board)

The regular Borough election - Assembly and School Board seats plus any propositions - is Tuesday October 6, 2026, polls 7:00am-8:00pm at seven precincts (Gateway Recreation Center, The Plaza, AMHS ferry terminal, North Tongass Fire Stations 6 and 8, Saxman Community Center, South Tongass Alliance Church). Early/absentee-in-person voting: Borough Clerk (1900 First Ave, Suite 230) or City Clerk, 8am-5pm weekdays through October 5. Absentee-by-mail requests must reach the Borough Clerk no later than seven days before the election (Sept 29, 2026); absentee-by-fax requests by 5pm the day before. City of Ketchikan residents vote on both the City and Borough ballots and must request each absentee ballot separately. Borough Clerk: 907-228-6605. Candidate filing is August 1-25 each year.
