City Public Works Wastewater Division runs the Charcoal Point treatment plant (3921 Tongass Ave) and the City sewer system. For sewer questions or a sewer backup inside City limits call the plant at 907-225-8750 (plant cell 907-617-1801, as listed by the City); the Wastewater Division supervisor line at Public Works is 907-228-4050. Outside City limits, sewer is a Borough service area - call Borough Public Works 907-228-6670.
