Southwest Alaska Arts Group (SWAAG) — formerly Bethel Council on the Arts

SWAAG is Bethel's nonprofit arts council (it was known as the Bethel Council on the Arts). It runs the Cama-i Dance Festival, the SWAAG Gift Shop in the Cultural Center, concerts and touring performances, art exhibits, Tales on the Tundra storytelling, Bethel Bowls, the Steel Salmon-Raven auction fundraiser, Native craft classes, and the Best in the West artist-entrepreneur grant competition for Y-K Delta arts businesses. Community membership is free (attend events, sell art in the shop, volunteer, take or teach classes); Patron membership is $60.
