Bethel Seventh-day Adventist Church (KUIM 96.1)

The Bethel SDA Church at 541 6th Avenue (907-543-2012, bethelaksda.org) holds Sabbath worship Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. (occasionally meeting at the Korean Full Gospel Church, 142 Atsaq St / 2nd Road in Housing, and streaming online), runs the KUIM 96.1 radio station, and serves the community with free 'shopping' giveaways of clothing, quilts, fleece blankets and toilet paper several times a year, cheap rummage/garage sales ($1-$25, cash only) that fund sending 16-23 Bethel-area kids to Camp Polaris each summer, a June Vacation Bible School for all kids, and a turn cooking the Friday Night Supper Club. It also collects Typhoon Halong relief donations through Arctic Mission Adventure.
