ONC Burial Assistance (Bethel) — apply within 30 days

For Alaska Native/American Indian people who lived in Bethel at least six months before death and left no other resources: helps with funeral home, casket, cross or headstone, and shipping remains to Bethel (not family travel). The surviving spouse or the relative arranging the funeral applies within 30 days of death — no death certificate needed; bring tribal ID or CDIB, funeral home invoice and estimates. ONC tribal members can also get a separate ONC burial donation. 907-543-2608.
