FEMA Transportation Assistance for displaced Typhoon Halong families
Families still displaced from their homes by Typhoon Halong who are approved for FEMA assistance can get FEMA Transportation Assistance: up to two round-trip flights per eligible household member from their temporary residence to approved locations to meet FEMA inspectors or for subsistence activities, plus standard baggage fees (up to $100), pet/service-animal airline fees and accessibility costs. Not covered: overweight bags, ground transportation, meals, lodging; you cannot have received travel funds for the same trip from a tribe or charity. Sign up by calling the FEMA Alaska Call Center 1-866-342-1699, Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; Yup'ik interpretation is available Thursdays 1-5 p.m. The program ends April 23, 2027.
